A classic duet featuring country legends Willie Nelson and Merle Haggard is planned for The Smith Center’s star-studded grand opening on Saturday.
And as promised by Smith Center president and CEO Myron Martin, the debut will offer a deep and eclectic mix of talent, from Grammy, Emmy and Tony winners. Even an Oscar winner in Jennifer Hudson.
Also joining host Neil Patrick Harris, Hudson, Nelson and Haggard will be four-time Grammy winner Carole King, jazz trumpet legend Arturo Sandoval, rhythm and blues/gospel star Mavis Staples, country greats Emmylou Harris and Martina McBride and Train’s Pat Monahan.
