Willie Nelson and Family had a strong percussion section at the Fillmore Shows. Lukas Nelson and his band the Promise of the Real performed each night before the Willie Nelson and Family Shows, and then Tato Melgar stayed on stage with his congos and percussion instruments. Also, Willie’s son Micah Nelson joined Paul English and Billy English on drums, and they all traded off on different instruments.
Willie sang ‘Me and Paul’ three of the four nights of shows in San Francisco, and the crowd loved it every night.
