Budrock “Buddy” Prewitt, lighting director for Willie Nelson and Family, participated in an internet project about Lynyrd Skynyrd, the southern rock band that tragically lost band members in a 1977 plane crash — Ronnie Van Zant, Steve Gaines and sister Cassie Gaines. Several others were killed in the crash, and dozens injured.
Buddy was one of six persons interviewed for the podcast series which was produced by Paul Doty, of WCLS Corporation. Buddy wrote, ” I think It’s about the last days of the real LYNYRD SKYNYRD and the actual plane crash memories. (I think) because that was the direction of the interview that I did.”

Thanks, Paul.
How come Tim Nesbitt isn’t on any list of people who were on the plane?
Kyle, I do not know.
Hi AudPod/Skynyrd fans,
Thanks for all the Skynyrd email. I’ve got so many people from here and other places asking abut this i thought I’d address everyone here at once. Tim was the only person I could not confirm on the plan as he was not suppose to be on the plane therefore he was not on the official passenger list. He missed the equipment truck that day because he was hung over/high/take your pick. The truck guys confirmed he did not ride in the truck that day. The other plane occupants did not recall either way as it was 30 plus years ago. His boss at the time confirms he was on the tour, but cannot confirm he was on the plane. So, bottom line is that I have no real reason to doubt his story unless presented with a good factual reason to confim he wasnt. I know Tim personally and have had no reason to doubt any of his interview. Thanks again for your emails and listening to the show.
