All us fans of Willie’s duets are happy to hear that he has recorded another duet, this time with Jerry Lee Lewis on his “Last Man Standing.” Willie joins Jerry on “A Couple More Years”. The album was recorded last year, and is available now, at least on t.v., as I’ve see it advertised late at night. The guest list is pretty amazing. The band that cut most of the basic tracks consists of Kenny Lovelace and Jimmy Rip on guitar, Hutch Hutchinson on bass and Jim Keltner on drums.
Producer Jimmy Rip about the guest stars: “It was 20 of the easiest phone calls I ever had to make. Everyone wanted to play with the Killer.”
